Program minimum requirement is a setting that allows auto-eligibility checking for programs based on academic background information that applicants key in the tab ‘Past Education’ when completing the Online Application form.

 

If applicants do not meet a program’s minimum requirement, the program will not appear for selection. This checking is also valid for Application Form in staff portal.

 

Minimum Requirement Group


Minimum requirement group are groups of requirement for the same program. A program can have more than one requirement group.

 

If applicants do not meet the requirements in the first group, system will automatically check if they meet the conditions set in other available requirement groups.

Add Minimum Requirement Group


  1. Click Settings on navigation bar
  2. Under Academic, click Programs > Minimum Requirement > Add New
  3. In field Name, enter the name of the minimum requirement group. It is recommended to name the group based on education level such as ‘A-Level’ or ‘SPM and ‘Master’
  4. Click Save

Delete Minimum Requirement Group


  1. Click Settings on navigation bar
  2. Under Academic, click Programs > Minimum Requirement > Delete
  3. On delete confirmation prompt, click Delete

Types of Qualification


The are two types of qualification in program minimum requirements which are ‘Mandatory‘ and ‘Optional‘:

 

  • Mandatory – applicants must meet the requirement
  • Optional – applicants do not need to meet the requirement but having it gives them an edge

 

Applicants are considered eligible if they meet one of the three conditions below:

 

  • Condition 1
    1. Applicant meets mandatory requirements
    2. Applicant meets optional requirement

 

  • Condition 2
    1. Applicant meets mandatory requirements
    2. Applicant does not meet optional requirements

 

  • Condition 3
    1. Mandatory requirement does not exist
    2. Applicant meets optional requirements

 

On the other hand, applicants are considered ineligible if they meet one of the three conditions below:

 

  • Condition 1
    1. Applicant does not meet mandatory requirements
    2. Applicant does not meet optional requirements

 

  • Condition 2
    1. Applicant does not meet mandatory requirements
    2. Applicant meets optional requirements

 

  • Condition 3
    1. Mandatory requirement does not exist
    2. Applicant does not meet optional requirements

Add Qualification


  1. Click Settings on navigation bar
  2. Under Academic, click Programs > Minimum Requirement > Manage
  3. Click Add New in Mandatory Qualification or Optional Qualification
  4. The list of Education Level appears
  5. Set sliders to ‘Yes’ if the education level is required for the qualification
  6. Click Save

Change Qualification to Mandatory/Optional


  1. Click Settings on navigation bar
  2. Under Academic, click Programs > Minimum Requirement > Manage
  3. Click Change to optional or Change to mandatory

Delete Qualification


  1. Click Settings on navigation bar
  2. Under Academic, click Programs > Minimum Requirement > Manage
  3. Click Delete
  4. On delete confirmation prompt, click Delete

 Types of Requirement


Besides the two types of qualification, there are two types of requirement which are ‘Must Have‘ and ‘At Least‘. Requirement types are illustrated in the following examples:

 

  • Example of ‘Must Have’ Requirement:
    • Applicants must have grade A in subject 1 and grade B in subject 2 should they wish to apply for Program A

 

  • Example of ‘At Least’ Requirement:
    • Applicants must at least obtain grade C in any three subjects should they wish to apply for Program B

Add Must Have Requirement


  1. Click Settings on navigation bar
  2. Under Academic, click Programs > Minimum Requirement > Manage > Manage
  3. Click Add New
  4. In field Requirement Type, select Must Have
  5. Set sliders under column Action to Yes to include relevant subjects
  6. Click Save
  7. User will be directed to Settings > Academic > Programs > Minimum Requirement
  8. Click Manage > Manage
  9. In column Grade, select grade
  10. Click Save

Update Must Have Requirement


  1. Click Settings on navigation bar
  2. Under Academic, click Programs > Minimum Requirement > Manage > Manage
  3. Click Update Rule
  4. Set Remove slider to remove existing subjects from the requirement
  5. Set sliders under column Action to Yes to include relevant subjects
  6. Click Save

Delete Must Have Requirement


  1. Click Settings on navigation bar
  2. Under Academic, click Programs > Minimum Requirement > Manage > Manage
  3. Click Delete
  4. On delete confirmation prompt, click Delete

Add At Least Requirement


  1. Click Settings on navigation bar
  2. Under Academic, click Programs > Minimum Requirement > Manage > Manage
  3. Click Add New
  4. In field Requirement Type, select At Least
  5. Enter No. of course
  6. Select Grade
  7. Set sliders under column Action to Yes to include relevant subjects
  8. Click Save

 Update At Least Requirement


  1. Click Settings on navigation bar
  2. Under Academic, click Programs > Minimum Requirement > Manage > Manage
  3. Click Update Rule
  4. Set Remove slider to Remove to remove selected subjects
  5. Update required details
  6. Click Save

Delete At Least Requirement


  1. Click Settings on navigation bar
  2. Under Academic, click Programs > Minimum Requirement > Manage > Manage
  3. Click Delete
  4. On delete confirmation prompt, click Delete
