How It Works

  1. Find Settings on Navigation Bar located on the left side of the screen > Navigate to Academic
  2. Click General
  3. Click Update
  4. In the Add Drop Session (Max Credit Hour) field, enter maximum credit hour to add drop session
    • Set the maximum credit hour of subjects student can register during Add/Drop Subject session. System blocks student from adding subjects maximum credit hour is exceeded. This blocking does not apply in staff portal but error message will still appear

  5. Set Auto Send Warning Letter slider to Yes, if any
  6. Set Block Auto Update Barred Subject Status slider to Yes, if any
    • System blocks auto update of subject with status Barred

  7. In Dean’s List (GPA) field, enter GPA
    • Set the minimum GPA for Dean’s List award (this is a general setting, means that all students from any programs will received Dean’s List award according to this configuration). Program’s dean list award setting can be set in Settings > Academic > Programs

  8. In Dean’s List (Credit Hour) field, enter credit hour
    • Set the minimum credit hour for Dean’s List award (this is a general setting, means that all students from any programs will received Dean’s List award according to this configuration). Program’s dean list award setting can be set in Settings > Academic > Programs

  9. Set Enable Subject Status Change slider to Yes, if any
    • Enable/disable auto-change of subject status if the subject is repeated

  10. In Subject Status Change for field, select what subject status change for
    • To configure the subject status to be changed if Enable Subject Status Change is turned on. When set to All, if student repeats a subject, the status of the subjects in previous semesters will change from Pass or Fail/Refer to Referred. Referred status indicates that the subject is repeated in next semesters. Subject/Course Status is displayed on student profile

  11. Set Incomplete Prerequisite Subject Block slider to Yes, if any
    • To block/unblock the registration of subjects with prerequisite or core-requisite

  12. Set Allow Lecturer Update Marks slider to Yes, if any
    • To allow/disallow lecturer to update the coursework and final mark provided that no submission has been done

  13. In Max attendance Entry day, enter maximum attendance entry day
    • This function is to set the maximum days for attendance entry after class has been conducted. If set to two days, lecturer will not be able to key in the attendance of all classes conducted two days earlier

  14. Set Previous Attendance Alert slider to Yes, if any
    • Set the range of how many days the attendance alert will be shown

  15. In Repeat Subject Calculation  field, select repeat course calculation
    • To configure the calculation of repeat subject either by Highest Result, Latest Result or Calculate All.

      • Latest result: most recent result of the same subjects will be calculated

      • Highest result: highest result of the same subjects will be calculated

      • Calculate all: all results of the same subjects will be calculated

  16. Set Show Coursework Mark slider to Yes, if any
    • To enable/disable of coursework marks display in Student Portal > Academic > Attendance & Coursework Status

  17. Set Show Coursework Mark Date slider to Yes, if any
  18. In Mark Decimal Point  field, enter decimal points for keyed in marks
  19. In Total Mark Decimal Point  field, enter decimal point for total mark
  20. In Final Attendance Reset Mark  field, enter attendance type
    • System will reset all assessment marks to zero if the attendance type keyed in by lecturers for final exam is listed in Final Attendance Reset Mark
  21. Click Save
